• Check and replace the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve.
• Inspect and repair or replace the wiring or connectors related to the camshaft profile actuator control circuit.
• Clean or repair the variable valve timing system.
• Reset the engine control module and perform a relearn procedure for the camshaft profile actuator.

2. Defective camshaft actuator solenoid
3. Clogged oil passages to the camshaft actuator
4. Engine oil level too low or dirty
5. Faulty engine control module (ECM)

1. Engine misfires or runs rough
2. Decreased power and acceleration
3. Difficulty starting the engine
4. Stalling or dying of the engine
5. Illuminated check engine light
