What it means

U0184 means a controller has lost communication with the radio, or head unit — the module that runs the audio and infotainment system. When it drops off the network, the radio, audio, and often the display and steering-wheel controls stop responding, but the engine, brakes, and steering are unaffected. It is usually caused by a blown fuse, a wiring or connector fault, or a failed head unit.
