- Check and replace the fuel fill door unlock control circuit fuse
- Inspect and repair any damaged wiring or connectors in the fuel fill door unlock control circuit
- Replace the faulty fuel fill door unlock control module
- Reset the vehicle's computer system and perform a relearn procedure for the fuel fill door unlock control circuit

How to diagnose & fix
Work through it in order
- Fuel fill door cannot be unlocked using the central locking system or release button
- Fuel fill door remains locked and cannot be opened manually
- Fuel fill door may intermittently unlock and relock on its own
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may illuminate on the instrument panel
- Fuel fill door may fail to lock properly after refueling
