1. Fuel fill door fails to unlock or open when prompted
2. Difficulty refueling the vehicle
3. Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) or check engine light may illuminate
4. In some cases, the vehicle may not start
5. Faulty fuel fill door sensor may trigger false error codes or warning signals
