What it means
P065A means the ECM has determined that the generator (alternator) system isn't performing as expected — its output or behaviour is outside the monitored range. It usually points to the alternator, its drive belt, or the charging wiring rather than the engine itself. Because the charging system keeps the battery topped up, an unresolved fault can flatten the battery and leave you stranded.
