What you'll notice
- Check the shift interlock solenoid and wiring for any damage or malfunction.
- Inspect the shift cable for any obstructions or damage that may be preventing proper engagement of park.
- Check for a faulty brake light switch, as it may be failing to send the signal to release the shift lock mechanism.
- Inspect the transmission linkage for any misalignment or damage that may be preventing proper engagement of park.
