What it means
P2770 means the control module has detected high voltage — usually an open or a short to voltage — in the torque-converter clutch (TCC) circuit. The TCC locks the converter at cruising speeds, so a fault can cause shudder, slipping lockup, and sometimes the engine stalling as you slow to a stop. The engine still starts and runs.
