Cylinder 6 Injector A Circuit Low
What it means
P0276 means the ECM detects a low-voltage (short-to-ground or open) condition in the electrical circuit for cylinder 6's fuel injector. This is a wiring/injector fault, not a fuel-pressure problem — when the injector can't switch properly, cylinder 6 misfires and the engine runs rough. Persistent misfiring risks catalytic-converter damage, so trace the circuit and injector promptly.
Can I keep driving? Driveable but rough — if cylinder 6's injector isn't firing you'll get a misfire, and sustained misfiring can damage the catalytic converter.

Common symptoms
What you'll notice
- Check-engine light on
- Rough idle or misfire
- Reduced power and hesitation
- Possible increased fuel consumption
Common causes
Most likely first
- Short-to-ground or open in the cylinder-6 injector circuitLikely
- Failed cylinder-6 fuel injector (open or shorted coil)Common
- Corroded or loose injector connectorCommon
- Chafed or damaged injector harness wiringLess often
- Faulty injector driver in the ECM (least likely)Less often
How to diagnose & fix
Work through it in order
- Read freeze-frame data and inspect the cylinder-6 injector connector and wiring for a short to ground or open.
- Measure the injector coil resistance and compare to spec and the other injectors.
- Check for battery voltage and a switching ground at the connector with the key on.
- Replace the injector if the coil is open or shorted.
- Repair the harness or connector if the injector tests good. Clear and re-test.
