What it means

P0107 means the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is sending a voltage below its normal range to the engine computer. The ECM uses manifold pressure to judge engine load and meter fuel, so a bad low signal can cause rough idle, hesitation, poor fuel economy and reduced power. The car will usually still run.

Work through it in order

Inspect the MAP connector and wiring for shorts to ground, corrosion or damage.
Check the vacuum reference hose and port for leaks or blockage where the sensor is externally mounted.
Compare the MAP reading to barometric pressure at key-on, engine off — they should be close.
Replace the MAP sensor if it still reports low with good wiring and vacuum.
Only consider the ECM after sensor and wiring checks pass.
